The first of the four golf days making up the MAPS Charity Golf Circuit 2010 took place at The Marbella Golf and Country Club on April 25th. It proved a great success with well over a thousand euros raised on behalf of the charity.
The next event takes place at Santa Maria Golf on Saturday 26th of June. It has been reduced in price from 60€ to 40€ per person including green fees, shared buggy and lunch. For further info or to register please call Rachelle on 0034 689 604 966 or email sales@mapss.eu.
A MAPS representative said: “We would like to thank all our sponsors. Without your kind donations we would not be able to host the fundraising events for the Malaga Animal Protection Society.”

The cost is 65€ per person, including shared buggy and a buffet lunch. There are many prizes up-for-grabs, plus a charity auction. Players can register by phoning Rachelle on 689 604 966.
Other competition dates:

The Love A Child Foundation

The Love a Child Foundation (LACF) is a non-profit organisation set up in 2002 to support children who are abandoned, abused, exploited, refugee or orphaned.
Originally helping Tibetan refugee children living in Northern India, LACF has now expanded to include children in Burma (Myanmar) and Ecuador.
The main aim of the charity is to find ‘sponsor parents’ for its children; providing them with food, clothing, education and care – as well as the comfort in knowing that someone cares.
Public donations are welcomed – these are used for infrastructure projects such as the building of school rooms, dormitories, toilets and washing blocks; as well as for providing necessary medical and school equipment.
Thanks to a pioneering scheme, the running costs of the organisation will soon be funded by private donors (‘Foundation Angels’), allowing 100% of sponsorship and public donations to reach the children.
LACF is about to launch a major awareness raising campaign, and is looking for offers of help or assistance. If you would like to help by organising an event in your area, or you would like more information on becoming a ‘Foundation Angel’, please contact director Lynne Carrjones on (0034) 952 515 224 or log on The Love A Child Foundation.
