Each day you will be immersed in ceremony, working inside and outside in the landscape of Canta Lobos (valley of the singing wolves). Semi-residential (for those who wish) you will be working and staying in the Teepees at Isiscola, (in Canta Lobos) over the Friday and Saturday nights.

The Munay Ki are the Nine Great Rites of passage and initiation of the Laika, the high shaman of the Peruvian Q’ero. Munay means love and Ki means power. The Munay Ki is about fully awakening the deep power of love that is held within all of us. Traditionally these rites of passage and initiation were only available if you walked the path of the Shaman. However in these times of accelerating change and instability, (a time the Laika prophecies call the Pachacuti), these rites are now being offered to everyone without the need to walk the Shaman’s path, to enable us to step out of the collective nightmare into a different place. Here we meet Richard Waterborn, originator of Mind Body Soul Healing. Richard has helped thousands of people overcome illness through his holistic practise.

The Mind-Body approach to healing begins with understanding that the quality of life we enjoy has a lot to do with US! It’s not just our physical bodies, but what goes on inside, that constitutes a human being. Our feelings and emotions, our thoughts and beliefs, our relationships, and our past experiences all have a major impact on our health, happiness and well-being.

This idea has been around for thousands of years, but it got lost in the chemical-based approach to health and medicine. This was the age of the ‘magic bullet’ – the idea that pharmacological science would develop a pill to treat every disease. This spread to an attempt to treat so-called mental health in the same way, shifting responsibility away from ourselves to the ‘experts’ and an increasing dependence on pharmaceutical corporations. The larger context of our life; our emotional state, relationships and general quality of life, became irrelevant. All that mattered was what showed up in the tests and assigning the appropriate chemical or surgical procedure.

Now, the pendulum has begun to swing back. People are starting to question the effectiveness of such a system. A wide range of alternative and holistic therapies, some old, some new, is available as well as a host of self-help books.

My involvement in the Mind-Body world began over 30 years ago when I was researching psychosomatic factors in the treatment of cancer. I was so impressed by what I discovered, and the need for an alternative therapeutic approach, that I abandoned the Phd I was writing and began training, then working, as an alternative therapist. Since then I have assisted thousands of clients in dealing with all manner of issues, physical and non-physical and I have witnessed many “miracles”, as people sought the remedy within themselves.

In future articles we will be looking at a variety of topics from a mind-body perspective, which I hope you’ll find interesting.

Welcome to the Mind Body Spirit category!

In the months ahead I will be posting articles about psychics, mediums, channelling, astral projecting, personal development, manifesting and similar topics of which many of you are greatly interested in.

So let’s start by taking a look at something called Cellular Clearing. I discovered this at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Marbella last summer, where I met Richard Waterborn, a trained healer.

He believes that any illness of the body or mind can be healed via his Cellular Clearing sessions. My curiousness got the better of me, so I booked a few sessions, to see what it was all about.

I do not have any scary diseases or illnesses, but I was recently diagnosed with a slightly under active thyroid gland, so that was it all took for me to pick up the phone!

Richard described that all disease starts in the cellular memory as a means of ‘dis-ease’ caused by negative thought patterns and traumatic experiences from childhood or beyond, which remain un-integrated.

You would probably be surprised at the memories that lie within, which you have unknowingly pushed to the back of your mind.

Through a process of gentle questioning and exploration in a relaxed, almost meditative state, I relayed some issues which I had never fully understood or dealt with from my childhood and teenage years.

Throughout the session I had some strange bodily reactions, all of which Richard reassured me were quite normal. As I lay there, my hands tingled, my body trembled and my ears smarted. All of these reactions were caused by the tirade of energy flowing through my body, where the releases had taken place.

Since my first session I have encountered angelic whispers, apparitions, vivid dreams and unexplainable visions. I am now anticipating what will be unwrapped during and after my next session…
