This year sees the fourth Festival of Art, which will be held at the Sala de Mercado, on Calle San Miguel in Nerja, from 22nd February to 2nd March, 11am-1.30pm and 6pm-9.30pm.

There will be stalls by a variety of 40 local artists work including tattoo art, maps, photography, woodwork, arts, crafts and much more.

The opening ceremony starts at 6.30pm on Monday February 22nd. At 7pm there’s a make-up and hairdressing demonstration, then at 8pm free food & wine tasting, followed by music from local band ‘Not to Fall’.

Here are some of the other events taking place:

Tues 23rd: 8.30pm dance classes
Wed 24th: 11.30am Zannet fashion show, 8pm love flameco music with jingle
Thurs 25th: 8pm live music with Mark Shurey and Daaraji.
Sat 27th: 6pm Karate demonstration; 7pm Capoeira demonstration, 8pm live music with Luxanka
Sun 28th: 11.am graffiti demonstration, 11.30am face painting, 12.30pm songs & stories for kids, 8pm live music with Pedro.
Mon 1st Mar: 1.20pm percussion instruments class
Tues 2nd: 7pm closing ceremony with live music
