To get to the lovely beach, you only have to cross the street. The beach is littered with lots of fishing boats to show how locals and travellers pass the time. Passing through the wooden walkways, there are several places where you can hire lounger and beach umbrellas. There are also other play areas such as, a fitness trail, and a children’s play park that becomes extremely busy during the hours when the sun goes down, both of which can be a lot of fun to kids and even adults. From a distance, you will be able to see the large blue lighthouse.
There are several beautifully painted toilet blocks and Chiringuito’s positioned at intervals at the back of the beach. The numerous verdant palm islands serve as comfortable shaded beach covers for the day time, and families spread out with folding tables and little marquees to have a picnic under the beautiful starry sky. There are also a couple of free dance events along the promenade during the summer months, where you can listen and dance to flamenco music. The Playa de Torre del Mar also plays host to a night market in the summer.
