Oktoberfest In The Axarquia Area 2023
Oktoberfest is the world's largest beer festival. It is held every year in Munich, Germany, and is a very important part of Bavarian culture.
The popular German beer and culinary festival has now made its way across to the Axarquía, and although Torre Del Mar’s version of Oktoberfest is not quite Munich's, their version is a scaled down beer festival for locals and tourists to enjoy over a weekend in October, when the streets of Torre Del Mar are transformed into a food and beer lovers' paradise with authentic European cuisine mixing with the best of German ales during the second week in October.
Organized by ‘ACET - Asociación de Comerciantes y Empresarios de Torre del Mar’ (Torre del Mar’s Business Association) and in collaboration with the ‘Tenencia de Alcaldía Torre del Mar’ the idea was to revitalise the local economy and involve businesses in the area. All the establishments in Avenida Toré Toré where the festival is held will provide outdoor bars along the street so you can enjoy some sunshine while singing and dancing along to your favourite tunes. . .
Before Covid the festival commenced at midday and went on until 9pm with live music from the likes of “Free Soul Band” and some of the areas best reggae, dance and flamenco artists. With performances from local dance studios, an amazing atmosphere was always guaranteed, delicious cuisine provided by the participating establishments along the Avenida and of course, plenty of beer! — The event has attracted around 8.000 attendees in the past, and is suitable for families and their friends to attend and enjoy.
Oktoberfest - Commencing at midday in Avenida Tore Tore with 'hilo musical' background music, German cuisine and typical decoration.
Over the past years the festival has also been held in Algarrobo Costa and Torrox Costa.

Parking Tip for Torre del Mar:
Avd. Toré Toré road will be cut off to traffic during the event from the Avd. de Andalucía to the Paseo Marítimo, but the bus station is only 5 minutes away and if you aren't lucky enough to find a parking space there is low cost Public Parking in town where you can reserve your parking hours online!
