Drawing faces gives me the feeling of being able to enter the soul of the person I’m drawing. For me the eyes are the most important and it's also with the eyes that I always begin to make the portrait. Don’t we say that 'the eyes are the mirror of the soul'? When the eyes finally take shape, I feel in touch with the person and begin to imagine thier life. It’s like if this face at once becomes a book that tells me their life story.
