Playa del Morche - long family beach that's great for peace and privacy

On the south coast of Spain lies the Playa del Morche, which is only about 45 minutes away from Malaga. It is one of the 3 very popular sandy beaches on the Costa el Sol. You will get to a little tourist site known as El Morche if you follow the N-340 coast road. This tourist attraction consists of 2 rows of houses which are surrounded by several market gardens and orchards. In this area, you will find a few homes and shops but the majority of the structures you find are hotels, bars, restaurants and apartment complexes.

Playa del Morche is flat and very spacious. There are several service facilities spanning the whole promenade that stretches the whole length of the beach. There are several Lifeguards put on standby during the months of May to October and you can also find sun loungers and beach umbrellas for hire. If you do not want to pay for them, you will also find several palm tree islands at the back of the beach where you can get shade for yourself. There are also a lot of  Chiringuito’s on the beach where you can go for refreshments and lovely cuisines. There are spots where you can buy ice creams as well as bars and cafes so you don’t have any excuse not to have the time of your life.

Towards the edge of the transparent clear water on the Playa del Morche, you will find fine brown sand, with a sprinkle of pebbles. This is where tourists from Spain, Germany and Britain hang around and feel completely relaxed. Here, you can get all the privacy you need in an environment where you can think clearly. The broad sands are at least 1 km long offering enough space for you to pick your spot. The Rio Gui empties itself into the sea on the west, while to the east; the beach adjoins the natural and unspoiled section.

There are several water sport operators who have lots of equipment for hire, ranging from the paddle boards to pedal boats to canoes and so on. There is also a small water park during the summer months where you can climb walls and slide and have fun. If you are a fan of wind surfing and kiting, you have the opportunity to do that here, as long as the wind is right and you have your personal equipment for it. a few meters off shore, you will find volleyball courts, football pitches, children’s play grounds and fitness tracks.
